Popular Netflix series Selling Sunset has returned for its fifth season and the drama is bigger and better than ever – both on screen and off screen it seems.

The reality show premiered over the weekend detailing the professional and personal lives of the agents at Los Angeles-based brokerage The Oppenheim Group.

The juicy storylines came in their masses including Chrishell Stause’s new relationship with Jason Oppenheim, Mary Fitzgerald navigating marriage with her husband Romain Bonnet and, of course, Christine Quinn’s ongoing feud with the rest of the ladies in the office.

However, Quinn has taken aim at the show claiming it’s totally “fake”.

Ahead of the premiere on Friday, the real estate agent and social media personality took to Twitter to slam Selling Sunset’s alleged made-up storylines.

“30 minutes till the launch of #SellingSunset enjoy the new season and all of its 5,000 fake storylines!” she said.

Previously, cast members from the show have spoken out against the show being scripted.

“The show isn’t scripted,” Stause has said on Instagram, adding that crew members may “sometimes nudge us to address things but what we say is all us”.

“Beware [of] anyone that says otherwise,” she added. “Gotta own it.”

Back in 2020, Jason Oppenheim, the president of the Oppenheim Group, also denied any claims that the show is scripted.

“There’s nothing that’s scripted, we’re never told to say anything,” he told British newspaper the Metro.

“At most, I would say that in some situations, if some things need to be addressed or we’re meeting a client or something, we’ll be asked to wait to make sure if we get everything on camera, but that’s certainly not scripted.”

This is reportedly set to be Quinn’s last season on the show, so perhaps she’s stirring the pot slightly to go out with a bang.

But she’s set to be reunited with her colleagues and castmates one last time in the reunion of Selling Sunset which will air on Netflix on May 6. Get your popcorn ready.
