Beauty icon Rihanna has once again stepped in front of the camera as the face of M.A.C’s Viva Glam Campaign with a bold new look that only the Barbadian songstress could pull off. Sporting a shocking lime green wig and 1990s-inspired bronzed lips, the singer models the latest philanthropic collection from the cosmetics giants, following in the footsteps of fellow pop starts Christina Aguilera and Nicki Minaj, both of whom have lent their looks to previous Viva Glam campaigns.
Consisting of a frosted metallic lipstick and shiny crimson lip gloss, the latest Viva Glam collection is housed in chic purple packaging with Rihanna’s personal signature. Set to hit shelves on September 11 every dirham from the sale will go towards helping women and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. The products will be added to her existing Viva Glam collaboration, which consists of a blue-red lipstick with a shimmering finish and strawberry shaded gloss with the same effect, both of which are still available across M.A.C counters worldwide.
The iconic make-up company, which is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary, has been inundated with celebrity launches already including collaborations with mother-daughter duo, Kelly and Sharon Osbourne, a lipstick line with pop superstar Lorde and will soon welcome the much-anticipated line based on cartoon character Marge Simpson.
Never one to shy away from a statement make-up look Rihanna has been very clear about her love of cosmetics and changing up her look (and hair colour), previously curating a bespoke beauty collection for M.A.C entitled RiRi Hearts M.A.C, complete with face, eye lip and cheek products in hot pink packaging. Having recently trademarked her last name, Fenty, along with Fenty Cosmetics, Fenty Nails and Fenty Beauty amongst others we may see her launch her own beauty collection in the near future.
