Rihanna and her surname Fenty have taken both the beauty and fashion worlds by storm. However, the latter is coming to a pause.

Luxury fashion group LVMH – the owner of luxury brands Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Givenchy and more – announced that their joint venture with the Grammy Award-winning singer would be “put on hold… pending better conditions”, it was confirmed to WWD.

The Fenty fashion venture launched back in 2019 two years after Rihanna launched her highly successful makeup brand Fenty Beauty.

While she may be exiting the luxury fashion realm for now, Rihanna will continue to focus on her beauty brands and her lingerie line Savage X Fenty.

“LVMH and Rihanna reaffirm their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare and lingerie,” the luxury group stated.

The move may come as a surprise as just recently Rihanna’s collaboration with shoe designer and former EW cover star Amina Muaddi was announced.

However, we know whatever the next move for Rihanna is, it’s going to be epic.
