Soon to be our next obsession

Nine-time Grammy winning artist, Rihanna, changed the beauty game in 2017 when she launched her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty. The products and specifically the Pro Filt’R foundation, which was released in 40 inclusive shades became an instant hit – Fenty Beauty was named one of Time magazine’s best inventions of 2017. Now, Rihanna is taking her dominance over her beauty industry a step further by launching Fenty Skin.

With the Korean beauty craze, skin care has become the hot new trend, and Rihanna is joining the bandwagon. The Love on the Brain singer has filed a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office for “Fenty Skin” which covers “medicated and non-medicated skincare, soap, body care and personal care products. However, it does not include colour cosmetics, perfume, and other fragrance-only products.

According to Page Six, the Fenty Skin trademark application has already been approved and will be sent to an attorney for further review, which can take up to three months to complete. But fans have to be patient, as the 31-year-old is known to be a perfectionist, who won’t let a product hit the shelves before it ticks all the boxes.

This year is shaping up to be a great one for Rihanna, who is collaborating with the multinational luxury goods conglomerate to launch a luxury house under her name, according to WWD. Not only that, but the singer has been teasing fans with new music, which is a huge deal since the last record she released was ANTI back in 2016. With how successful her makeup brand has been, we are sure that Fenty Skin will take over the industry.

So far, it seems like Riri is dominating 2019 and we are loving it!
