Roll up, roll up! Devilish, delightful and whole lot tantalising The Act and it’s current SHOWTIME! entertainment will give you a dining experience you will never want to forget.

Décor

Think speakeasy meets boudoir. All is not what it seems – chandeliers hang at jaunty angles, pictures are upside down and there is deviant air that suggests mischief awaits.

Resembling a 1920s film set/theatre, all the tables, bar and balconies face the stage, which is framed with thick velvet curtains. Tables are round, chairs are in distressed leather and the balconies have dark corners that are perfect for the voyageur amongst you.

Their a hit of burlesque with female staff dressed in corset and top hats while the men look stylish in shirts and trouser braces. Everything is done to effect and done so well you feel transported to a more bourgeoisie time.

Ambience

Three words: naughty, cheeky, exciting.

Food

Forget about the surrounding show, the best act comes courtesy of the award-winning head chef Roberto Segura who brings a stellar performance to the table with a fine dining journey of Peruvian delicacies.

To start try the succulent beef skewers marinated in panca chili sauce (one of my personal favourites). Seafood lover should opt for the scallops or the salmon ceviche, each packing a punch in terms of fresh and powerful flavours.

PicMonkey-Collage

For mains the roasted duck served with coriander rice and orange sauce stole the show for me, literally – I nearly missed some of the performance as I was so engrossed in the delicious meal. Not a fan of duck? Try the lamb which falls of the bone and melts in the mouth.

The cheesecake dessert with passion fruit is pure luxurious gluttony that is well worth hitting the gym the day after for.

Why Bother

Combing a spectacular meal with a thoroughly entertaining show (the actor called Guy is so impressive I actually yelped during one of his scenes), you would be a fool not to go.

Go For

A unique experience unrivalled in the UAE.
