Inspired by the past
When you think glamour, old Hollywood beauty and Film Noir comes to mind. This was exactly the inspiration for the Temperley Winter 2020 show during London Fashion Week, created by Sofia Tilbury.
Using all Charlotte Tilbury products, including the new Queen of Glow Luxury Palette and hotly anticipated Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk, the over all result focused on a glowing complexion, amber eyes with a feline flick and perfectly-painted, statement red lip, matched effortlessly to each model’s skin tone. SKINCARE
Before starting the makeup, Sofia prepped the model’s skin and created a glowing canvas of magic skin, using Charlotte’s Magic Cream. The iconic cream contains Camellia oil, Rosehip oil, Bio-Nymph Peptide and Hyaluronic acid – instantly flooding the skin with moisture. Magic Eye Rescue was also applied.
COMPLEXION
To prime the skin and create a fresh, glowing base Sofia used Hollywood Flawless Filter to add a subtle, glossy glow to the complexion. Next, Sofia used Light Wonder foundation to add a dewy feel to the complexion with a natural skin but better effect. Gently buffing into the model’s skin using the Hollywood Complexion Brush.
To corrects the any pigmentation and instantly brighten the appearance of under eyes Sofia applied Magic Vanish! Colour Corrector. For areas which needed a little extra coverage, Sofia used Magic Away Concealer. To enhance the model’s natural beauty and softly define their features, Sofia used the Hollywood Contour Wand along cheekbones, temples, nose and jawline. To give the dewy, glowing complexion an glossy satin-light highlight, Sofia applied the Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight on the high points of the cheekbones and on the Cupid’s bow.
For a soft pop of dreamy blush pink on the cheeks, Sofia used the NEW! Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk buffed gently in circular motions on to the apples of the cheeks. Airbrush Flawless Finish powder was applied to help set the finished look in place. Sofia used a soft, sculpting brush and applied to the t-zone, to keep the high points of the face fresh and dewy.

BROWS
Brows were kept natural-looking, brushed up and groomed using Charlotte’s Legendary Brows in the shades matched to the model’s hair. For any gaps which needed filling in, Sofia used the Brow Lift pencil.
EYES
To create the shimmering champagne and golden amber eye look, Sofia used Charlotte’s NEW Luxury Palette in Queen of Glow, mixed with the Eyes to Mesmerise crème shadow pot in Bette. The NEW! Queen of Glow was designed for the ultimate glowing, sun-drenched smokey eye. Sofia began by applying a soft wash of the gorgeous amber gold Eyes to Mesmerise shade across the eyelid using the Eye Blender Brush.
To make the colour on the eyes pop, Sofia applied the sparkling champagne PRIME shade from the Queen of Glow Luxury Palette, to the centre of the eyelid using her fingertip and seamlessly blended together. To open up the eyes, Sofia added a touch of Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight to the inner corners of the eyes using the Eye Smudger Brush.
For definition and depth, Sofia created a soft, eye-enhancing feline flick using Rock’n’ Kohl in Bedroom Black. She applied tightly in to the upper lash line, taking it out into slight flick at the outer corners. To enhance the depth of colour, Sofia re-traced the line using Charlotte’s Feline Flick pen.
For naturally fanned-out lashes with lift, Sofia used the Life Changing Lashes curler, followed by a coating of Charlotte’s Full Fat Lashes on both the top and bottom lashes.

LIPS
To complete the look, and compliment the incredible colours in the Temperley Winter 2020 collection, Sofia created a perfectly-painted, statement red lip to add a pop of colour. To create shape and definition to the lips, Sofia used Charlotte’s Lip Cheat lip liner. Starting on the outer corners, Sofia traced the Lip Cheat in Savage Rose just outside of the model’s natural lip shape to help cheat a fuller pout.
After defining the lip shape, Sofia applied Matte Revolution in Red Carpet Red or Hot Lips in Tell Laura, chosen based on the tones which best complimented the model’s skin tone.
