Princess Rajwa Al Saif’s bridal makeup on her big day was minimal and understated — it helped bring out her natural beauty.
The Saudi-based architect married Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan on June 1, 2023, in Amman Jordan. The royal bride looked dreamy by staying true to her less-is-more aesthetic.
For her nuptials to the Crown Prince, Princess Rajwa wore a form-fitting gown by Elie Saab with self-on-self texture, a trail attached from the waist and a diaphanous veil. Her glam for the wedding was soft, radiant and effortless.
The key to attaining this look was keeping the number of products on her face to a minimum. With no sharp contour or shimmering eyes, Princess Rajwa complemented her ethereal gown with makeup details that didn’t overshadow her ensemble.
Breakdown of Princess Rajwa Al Saif’s bridal makeup look
Base: For starters opt for a foundation that feels like second skin. Your base on your big day can make or break your makeup. Foundations with moisturising properties help in attaining a natural look. Instead of picking a darker contour shade, opt for a creamy contour closer to your skin tone and define your features. Finish up the base by applying concealer on the highlighting points of your face.
Eyes: Moving on the eyes: The Jordanian Princess ditched the regular smokey eyes and glittering lids for a rosey-brown eyeshadow. To recreate it, pick three shades, namely dark brown, dusty rose and ivory on your palette. Work the deep brown on your lash line and the rest of the lid with that dusty rose shade. For the inner corner of your eyes, use ivory or some other pearly shade for it to look much bigger and open. Work your water line with a similar brown shade to create a mirroring effect. Finish off your eyes with a heavy coat of waterproof mascara.
Cheeks and lips: To get those flushed cheeks, choose a creamy blush in peach and top it up with a powder blush of the same shade for a matte effect. Last but not least, use a nude-pink lipstick closest to your original lip shade to complete your makeup.
