HISTORIC HUNDRED
This is the last week to catch the A History Of The World In 100 Objects exhibition at the Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. Originally presented as a radio series, BBC Radio 4 and the British Museum collaborated to tell the history of humans through the objects we’ve used and created. Ranging from 2 million BC to modern day, this is a momentous snapshot of ‘us’. It also puts the Middle East’s current events into perspective – the above relic from 701 BC depicts the siege of Lachish, a small town near Jerusalem, by the powerful Assyrian military. The exhibition runs until August 1. For more information, visit here.

REUNITE AT ROBERTO’S
Eid is a special time for family and friends, so if you don’t have anything planned yet, we suggest you phone your nearest and dearest and extend them an Invito a Pranzo (invitation to lunch) at Roberto’s in DIFC, this coming week. In the Italian weekend tradition, Roberto’s is launching a sharing style brunch called Pranzo Italiano. Because, let’s face it, the Italians have perfected the combination of food, fun, friends and family. For more information, visit robertos.ae
