This is a weekend for the artists, the art lovers and the all round creative types. Indulge in a few days of dreamy designs with Art Dubai, Design Days Dubai, and a special Rolls Royce exhibition. Don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of time left over to try a new brunch.

The ninth edition of Art Dubai kicked off on March 18 (for our complete EW guide to fabulous fair, click here). Taking place in Madinat Jumeirah, this year’s event is bigger than ever with 92 galleries participating from 40 countries. As well as gallery exhibitions showcasing internationally acclaimed artists, there are plenty of extra events, from talks to forums, conferences to film screenings. Running until March 21, Madinat Jumeirah. Vertu Reality

Visitors of Art Dubai will be given the opportunity to design their unique Vertu handset using their onsite Made To Order service allowing you to personalised your phone choosing everything from the colour of the alligator leather to monogramming your initials. Additionally, guests who design their handset will receive a special gift from the brand.

For the first time in the region, guests can also experience a taste of what is exclusively offered to the brand’s elite customers with Vertu Concierge. Guests will have the chance to reserve everything from hard-to-get reservations at the most in-demand venues to luxury chauffeur services, directly through one of Vertu’s handsets complimentary. The exclusive opportunity to enter the world of Vertu at Art Dubai will run until Marc 21 from 4pm – 9.30pm.

Those with a penchant for design are in for a treat this weekend. With a mammoth range of collectables, furniture and limited edition accessories, Design Days Dubai is the perfect place to indulge in all things interiors. As well as displays from internationally renowned and emerging local designers, there’s also an extensive schedule of workshops, design instillations and special performances. There’s a new evening brunch in town, and it’s already a firm favourite. Latest Recipe’s Sparkling Brunch is designed to please all ages. The extensive buffet features sushi and salads, as well as Indian, roast and BBQ stations. The outdoor terrace plays host to entertainment including singers and acrobats, but those who sit indoors needn’t worry, as the large open doors and big windows make for easy viewing. Fridays, 7-10pm, Dhs350 with house beverages. Spirit of Ecstasy

As Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga’s car of choice, Rolls Royce is synonymous with luxury. Now the world’s most luxurious wheels are pulling up in Dubai, as part of the brand’s global exhibition. Dubbed the Spirit of Ecstasy, there will be eight rooms showcasing all the components of a Rolls Royce,  including a customisation service. The Beach, JBR, until Monday 23 March, visit the website.

What better way to end the weekend than with an overabundance of cakes and scones? Leopold’s of London has recently launched a high tea, which allows guests to sample a huge selection of fine teas, and indulge in savoury and sweet treats. There’s no need to confine all the fun to the weekend, especially this week. Mahiki have a line up of exciting events to celebrate British Polo Day.
