With an estimated 80,000 passengers travelling through Dubai Airport tomorrow, it is set to be the busiest day the airport has ever seen. DINING AT THE BRAND NEW ZENGO RESTAURANT
This new contemporary Asian restaurant at the Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa, Zengo, is an incredible, inviting new space with an inspired menu. With live cooking stations, three bar areas and a terrace with panoramic views, the preparation of the food and drinks is truly elevated to a visual spectacle. The brainchild of chefs Richard Sandoval and Akmal, the aspiration of Zengo is to push the boundaries of Asian cuisine through the use of the freshest ingredients from around the world and innovative culinary techniques and flavours. RACING AROUND THE WORLD’S TALLEST BUILDING WITH NIKE’S RUN DXB
If you’re not registered to run the Nike Run DXB 10km tomorrow morning (December 19), then you should still come and down and support all the local runners who’ll be participating in this momentous race. All runners will be clad in luminous yellow t-shirts and will get to experience the communal fun and excitement of running around the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and through the streets of Downtown Dubai. HEADING TO THE FESTIVE MARKET AT SOUK MADINAT
The Souk Amphitheatre has been transformed into a festive wonderland this winter and is the perfect place for some family fun this weekend – with rides for the kids, an ice rink, a giant Christmas tree and snow globe, daily guest appearances by Santa together with a variety of festive food offerings and much more this is the perfect place to absorb all the fun of the season. Entry is free and the market is open from 3pm until midnight on weekdays and 1pm until midnight on weekends until December 27.
INDULGING IN FESTIVE FLAVOURS AT CAFFÉ NERO
If you’re craving all things festive this time of year, then head down to one of the Caffé Nero stores. They’ve got a special festive menu that includes a praline latte, fruit cake, turkey and cranberry panini, mince pies and a Middle East exclusive of a chocolate and hazelnut frappe crème.
HANGING TEN AT DEUS EX MACHINA SURF CINEMA NIGHT
While many like to think of the festive season as a wintery affair, the other half of the world knows it to be a time of sunshine, surf and summer holidays. Deus Ex Machina at the Capital D studio is hosting a cinema night on Saturday (December 20) where you can enjoy films about humans the conquering the waves of the big blue.
