There is absolutely no shortage of things to do this weekend, and we’re going to try our very best to make the most of the great weather and even better energy that’s in the air at this time of year. Here are a few events we’re not going to miss this weekend…
DANCING ALL DAY AT THE WHAT’S ON PARTY IN THE PARK
It’s the 35th anniversary of What’s On Magazine this year and they’ve organised probably their best event ever on November 14 – Party In The Park at the Media City Amphitheatre. With top international acts such as the cheeky songstress Lily Allen, Richard Ashcroft from The Verve, The Ting Tings and South African musical legends Freshlyground plus various stages and world class DJs this is going to be one epic day of entertainment. A brunch deal by McGettigan’s will make sure you’ve got enough fuel to keep you going from 2pm through to midnight. Get your festive together and get your tickets here.
GOING KICKS CRAZY AT SOLE DXB
In it’s fifth year, Sole DXB, is a celebration of Dubai’s burgeoning urban culture through footwear, fashion and creativity. Whatever you call them – sneakers, trainers or kicks – there is no doubt that this footwear category attracts a very passionate kind of person who often becomes a collector, curator, and maybe hoarder. Bringing together people from all walks of life, the event will showcase the best in brands, creative collaborations, film, music, art, sports and discussions revolving around the culture of the street. The event will take place at the brand new Dubai Design District. For more information visit here.
JOINING THE ORDER OF NEVER HIDE WITH RAY-BAN
Legendary, never-go-out-style sunglasses brand Ray-Ban will be featuring their global campaign The Order of Never Hide at Sole DXB. They are challenging the ultra brave to head over to the Cuts Like Steel activation and let the stylists from Chill Salon do what they will with your hair. Those who are prepared to relinquish all control over their locks stand in line to be well rewarded. Be sure to follow us on Instagram (instagram.com/emirateswoman) and Twitter (twitter.com/EW_Magazine) as Picture Editor Alexandra Bull takes on the challenge – she is very brave!
