Inspired by Beat poets such as Burroughs, Kerouac living in Paris, the concept of Beat Hotel was further developed at Glastonbury and now it has evolved into its very own festival in a boutique location.

It takes place across several villas, set amongst secluded gardens, with swimming pools, palm trees, bars, and pop up restaurants.

Bringing the music are Young Fathers, Gilles Petersen, Andrew Weatherall and Maribou State among others, but there is more on offer for those who need a break from all the dancing – including massages and yoga.

Irvine Welsh and DCB Pierre will be hosting literary talks, while fashion brand Patternity will be holding a nature-drawing class. Don’t forget to grab the popcorn and head to Jeremy Deller’s late night film club and book in for one of the grand banquets prepared by leading chefs.

Feeling spontaneous?
