Another win for Middle Eastern brands

HH Queen Rania of Jordan chose two Middle Eastern designers for her public appearances this week.

During her visit to New York, the mother-of-four visited the UN General Assembly, sporting a custom-made Azzi and Osta shirt. She paired this with an Antonio Beradi skirt, Gianvito Rossi heels and a Onesixone bag.

Azzi & Osta are a Beirut-based couture house founded by designer duo George Azzi and Assaad Osta. The pair enrolled at Esmod Beirut in 2004 and were former interning assistant designers to Elie Saab.

The royal wore another Middle Eastern designer for her next appearance in Istanbul. She chose a dress from London-based label Zenobiaa, created by Iraqi designer Raghda Tapponi during a visit to the TRT World Forum, where she met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan.

She styled the dress with Jimmy Choo heels.

Queen Rania has long supported Middle Eastern designers.

In September, she stepped out in Amman with her husband wearing emerging Lebanese fashion label Maison Makarem. Earlier this year, she gave this Palestinian label a boost while on a visit to a Jordanian school.
