It’s safe to say that Zara is the go-to high-street store for most.

However, as with any high-street clothing store, generic sizing can sometimes go amiss – a small can sometimes be too big and a large can sometimes be too small.

But it seems there’s been a hidden hack all along to know if a piece of clothing from Zara runs slightly big or small and a Qatari blogger just brought it to our attention.

The fashion Instagram account, @qatari_lifestyle, which has over 300,000 followers, shared a photo of three different Zara labels outlining how you’ll be able to know which clothing items are true to size.

Zara Clothing Hack

At the top of the label on an item of clothing in Zara, there is one of three shapes that appear – a square, triangle or circle.

If you see a square the item of clothing is meant to run true to size; if you see a triangle the item of clothing might run small; and a circle means the piece of clothing may run big.

“Just wanted you all to benefit from this info because I just found out,” the blogger stated in Arabic. “And if anyone already knew, why hasn’t anyone told me before?”

The original post went somewhat viral on TikTok, but it was this Qatari blogger who brought it to our attention.

Hopefully, our shopping trips are about to get a whole lot easier now we know these secret symbols exist.
