At the start of 2022, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child together via surrogate.
But it’s not been an easy ride for the new parents, as their baby girl was born prematurely and has had to have a prolonged stay in hospital.
However, after “100 plus days in the NICU”, the couple have now brought their little girl home, just in time for Mother’s Day in the US.
To mark Chopra’s first Mother’s Day as a mum herself, she shared their first family photo with her 77.4 million followers.

In the family portrait, Chopra is cradling the newborn named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, with Jonas watching over his two girls.
The actress reflected in the caption of the post what a “rollercoaster” the last few months have been.
“After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home,” she said. “Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is.”
The Hollywood and Bollywood star went on to say she and her husband were “overjoyed” to now have their newborn home with them, as well as thanking the team at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, where their daughter was treated.
“Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is truly a bad—,” she said. “Let’s get it MM! Mommy and Daddy love you. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Thank you.”

The A-list couple welcomed baby Malti at the beginning of this year.
Chopra and Jonas announced the birth of their first child via Instagram back in January, sharing a joint statement on Instagram.
“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate,” the statement read. “We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”
The pair wed just over three years ago in December 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. The couple tied the knot in a western ceremony officiated by Nick’s father Paul Kevin Jonas Sr and the next day the pair wed in a traditional Hindu ceremony.
