She is Obagi’s first brand ambassador.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is promoting inclusivity and diversity in the skincare industry through her role as Obagi’s brand ambassador.

She credits the brand for transforming her skin and took to social media to share more about the campaign titled ‘Skinclusion’ which hopes to fill the gap in the industry that some believe have been slow to offer products to all skin types and shades.

“Together we’ve created a campaign that’s extremely close to my heart,” Jonas explains in the video on Twitter. “Skinclusion is dedicated to empowering everyone to make conscious choices to see the beauty in all our differences.

The brand is also encouraging visitors to their website to take Skin Tone Implicit Association Test which establishes people’s unconscious biases in order to tackle them in the future.

“I do want to create a world for my future kids where they don’t have to think about diversity, where they’re not talking about it, because it’s normal,” the actress said in an interview with ET Canada.

Obagi has been using the Fitzpatrick scale – a skin classification from light to dark measured by the amount of melanin in the skin – across all six skin types for 30 years. Priyanka was recommended the brand after a bad skin breakout post her honeymoon and now uses Professional-C Serum 10%, Professional-C Suncare, and the Medical Hydrate Facial Moisturizer in her routine.

Celebrate diversity.
