Private beaches in Dubai are now open, per a directive from Dubai Tourism.

While public beaches remain closed, private beaches at hotels were reopened on Tuesday, May 12. However, there are strict guidelines in place. Beaches cannot go above 30 per cent capacity and beach day passes are not to be sold as of right now.

People can visit beaches in groups of up to 10, but social distancing measures of two metres between people must be implemented and four metres must be kept between groups.

Guests must also bring their own towels as part of health and safety measures, and masks must be worn at all times. Meanwhile spas, pools, saunas and gyms in hotels remain closed.

Similarly, outdoor tourism and sports activities including jet skiing, boat rentals, bike rentals and other water sports are now all permitted, but must be limited to five people or less. are limited to five people or less.
