“The ‘I-don’t-care’ attitude of Sophia Coppola’s version of Marie Antoinette was my inspiration for the Neon Baroque collection,” says Lisa Salzer, the designer behind the LuLu Frost S/S14 collection.
“I loved the playful and modern interpretation of the classic French Tale,” she says. “By using rococo-inspired scrolling shapes juxtaposed with geometric elements I’ve created a modern yet vintage feel.”
The designer known for her love of all things bright says: “I love mixing unexpected colour combinations – colour is crucial to jewellery and completing a look.”
So crucial, the opulent jewellery is “carefully hand-painted” in washes of neon pink, orange yellow and green at the LuLu Frost studio in New York.
Lucky for us, the opulent jewels are available on pre-order on Moda Operandi before they hit the stores in February next year.
But act fast jewellery magpies, you only have until November 20 to place you deposit and reserve your desired piece at the trunkshow.
