Her Highness Sheikha Sana Al Maktoum is continuously giving back to the Dubai community, particularly those who are less fortunate.

Earlier this week, Her Highness hosted a special lunch in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent for orphans at Tashas Cafe.

Sharing a series of photos on her official Instagram page, Sheikha Sana talked with the children about their hopes and dreams for the future.

“It was a pleasure to host a lunch for a special group of orphans [at] Tashas Cafe in collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent,” she said. “It brings me so much joy to learn about their ambitions, hopes and dreams for the future in a country full of possibilities.”

At the end of last year, Sheikha Sana spent time with students of determination at the Al Noor Training Centre celebrating the 50th UAE National Day.

Sheikha Sana heard from the students about their hopes, dreams and aspirations and explored their creative sides in a finger painting session.

Her Highness also led a storytelling session about the UAE’s native animals and also witness the UAE flag being hoisted by one of the student’s as part of their National Day parade.

Of her visit, she said: “The wellbeing of women and children have a special place in my heart, and this was a very special and inspirational visit for me – indeed, nothing is impossible!”

In our April 2021 cover shoot with Sheikha Sana, she previously shared with Emirates Woman her desire to partner with education-related charities, with a focus on women and children.

“I was blessed to be born in the UAE, a safe haven to people from various backgrounds, where women are respected and treated equally, but I know that there are many who are not as blessed,” she said. “I hope to help change this by partnering with charities supporting the education of young children and women’s empowerment.”
