With a wealth of talent and creativity emerging out of Dubai, it’s always incredible to see the local industry being recognised for its achievements.
Her Highness Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is one such person that is continuing to champion regional designers and their flawless creations.
At the latest Icons Exhibition – an event held multiple times a year showcasing local designers and talent and is run by Emirati designer and creative Roudha Al Shamsi – Her Highness made an appearance, showing her support for the local fashion industry.
Sheikha Mahra, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, posted a series of photos from the event where she is seen talking with event-goers and perusing the local brands present at the event.

Over 50 designers were showcased at the Icons Exhibition, held at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai, some of which included Al Mraikn, Slouchyz, Euphoria, MKJ, Label 9, Alzaree and more.
As well as Sheikha Mahra, many other notable figures were there including Emirati content creator Mthayel, designer Maryam Saeed, fashion creator Fatma Husam and many more.

It’s not the first time Sheikha Mahra has attended the Icons Exhibition and last year in July, Her Highness opened the event.
The Icons Exhibition is held regularly at different locations around the UAE shining a light on local designers and entrepreneurs from this region.
