The countdown is officially on for Expo 2020, with approximately one month to go until it officially opens – a moment Dubai and the rest of the UAE have been anticipating for eight years.

Ahead of the world’s largest event that’s happened since the pandemic started, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, paid a visit to the Expo 2020 site to review the final preparations.

He confirmed that all the teams in place “are ready” and that the “pavilions are complete”. “The UAE is looking forward to welcoming people from 191 countries,” he said.

His Highness went on to affirm that Expo 2020 will be a history-making event for the UAE.

“We promise people from all over the world an unprecedented Expo,” he said. “The 6 months of the event will go down in history for the ideas and inventions that will benefit humanity for years to come.”

While the event was delayed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s set to be nothing short of spectacular.
