Paule Ka is embracing the world of social media this month by launching the World Wise Woman (WWW), a digital platform that will be brought to life on Tumblr via pauleka.com, Instagram via @PAULEKAOFFICIEL, Facebook via PAULE KA and Twitter via @PAULEKA. The journey promises a whole new adventure of discovery with the brand, which will showcase a variety of perspectives and emotions inspired by the brand itself.

And how does this work, you may ask? Creator of the ready-to-wear brand, Serge Cajfinger, will choose a unique female personality to host the platform each month. She will be chosen for her unique and artistic talents and of course her contribution to style. It is her job to then obtain creative freedom on WWW to interpret the Paule Ka pieces in her own exclusive way while indulging in the spirit of the brand.

Launching today, the first guest up will be digital artist Jamie Beck. Her most famed creations to date include the Cinemagraph (see here ), which is a collection of still photographs in which repeated movement occurs on a selection of beautiful fashion images – essentially, seemingly bringing a photo to life. For her debut WWW takeoff, Jamie has created a special Cinemagraph for pauleka.com. This avant-garde creation is sure to set the scale of creative genius we expect from Beck herself and her successors to follow.

Paule Ka A/W13 collection

This step into such a new and heavily driven social media project comes as no surprise from Paule Ka. Founded in 1988, Cajfinger launched Paule Ka, a multibrand boutique, alongside his mother and aunt. Carrying future fashion heavyweights such as Alaia, Montana, Mugler, and Kenzo, it is clear that Cajfinger can spot a good thing when he sees it. After sharpening his knowledge of the female silhouette and women’s needs he launched his own label in 1987 where the brand has grown from strength-to-strength, developing its own signature and adapting style over the past 25 years.

PAULE KA:

Logged on, linked in… as if locked together in some way!

Maybe… but still freer than ever!

I’m from everywhere, at home wherever.

I am a World Wise Woman.

That’s all.
