Love H&M? Adore COS? Then we have got some excellent news for you.

Their sister brand & Other Stories has just announced it will be arriving in Dubai – and we don’t even have to wait too long for it.

(Well, we’ve been holding tight for years, so another six months won’t hurt).

The cool, Scandi-influenced brand will make its Middle Eastern debut in spring 2017 at The Dubai Mall, just in time for a summer wardrobe overhaul.

& Other Stories

The brand, which is designed in Paris and Stockholm and owned by the H&M parent company, was launched in 2013, and you can find stores across Europe and the UK.

“It’s fantastic to reach the Middle East and open our very first store in Dubai. We find that the fashion narrative here includes so many different expressions, and we can’t wait to be a part of that,” said Samuel Fernström, the brand’s managing director.

So what can you expect? Well, & Other Stories boasts an impressively wide collection of womenswear, accessories, shoes, jewellery, lingerie and beauty, and it’s got a reputation for its craftsmanship (think lots of sturdy leathers, cashmeres and ready-to-wear tailoring).

Price wise, it sits more towards the COS end of the scale – but style-wise it’s edgier and more trend-focused (and with more attention to detail than H&M).

When it lands at the 890-square-metre Dubai store, we recommend picking up minimalist Alexa Chung-style shirtdresses for that off-duty weekend dressing, quirky Marni-esque footwear, and printed power-suit separates.

Like H&M, & Other Stories regularly collaborates with designers – however it goes a little more niche, like its current collection with New York-based leather designer Zana Bayne.

So, just six more months of virtual window shopping until we can get our hands on the real deal…
