Score some sweet savings (for the last time before December)
What’s better than a whole new closet full of clothes? One that you scored at up to 90 per cent off, of course. And that’s what you could get this weekend as part of Dubai’s three-day Super Sale, which will see around 500 stores offer discounts of between 30 and 90 per cent on selected items. With Galeries La Fayette, Steve Madden, Kurt Geiger and Roberto Cavalli participating (among others), this could be the time to nab some new threads for the summer. Especially because Dubai stores won’t be allowed to offer 90 per cent off again until National Day…
At participating stores across Dubai, May 18 to 20. For more information see visitdubai.com.
Get your wardrobe ready for Ramadan
With the Holy Month kicking off at the end of May, it’s time to make sure you’ve got enough modestwear to see you through the weeks. Luckily, Tryano’s Ramadan Fair is back for a second year, bringing together a curated selection of regional and international designers and exclusive styles. From fashion and accessories to jewellery, gifts and food, the pop-up is a bit of a one-stop-shop for all things Ramadan – plus you can also donate to the Make A Wish Foundation on the night, as part of the UAE’s Year of Giving.
Tryano, Yas Mall, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, May 17 to 21, 5pm to midnight. Tel: 800 879266. tryano.com.

Learn how to really up your selfie game
If you’ve got an iPhone but a basic knowledge of how to use it (yeah, we’re not the most tech-savvy either) then Apple’s new free workshops are here to help. The tech giant is introducing a series of sessions covering a range of topics, from how to make a movie on an iPad to how to master GarageBand. We’re particularly eyeing up today’s “How To: Edit Photos on iPhone” workshop, which sounds like it’ll take our selfies to the next level (goodbye red eyes and glaring suns).
Apple Store, The Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai, 12pm to 1pm. Free but sign-up required. apple.com.
Get a personal one-on-one about your locks
If you’re a bit of a novice about haircare, and spend hours scanning websites wondering which products are best for your type of locks, then this could be a solution. Joe at Pastels Salon is holding free 15-minute consultations today, where he’ll assess your hair, diagnose its condition, and recommend what Kerastase products would make the best match.
Pastels, The Ritz-Carlton, JBR, Dubai. Booking required. Tel: (04) 399 5016. pastels-salon.com.

Refresh your holiday wardrobe
If you’re not completely shopped out (see: Thursday’s activities), there’s a brand-new pop-up happening at recently opened The Address Boulevard today. The PosH-RacK is bringing together 14 global brands under one roof, with a focus on Spring/Summer collections packed with Coachella-inspired pieces and floaty boho numbers. So if you’re into the Kate-Moss-meets-Vanessa-Hudgens aesthetic, it sounds like you should head down.
The Address Boulevard, Downtown Dubai, Dubai, 11am to 5pm. Tel: 055 560 9524. More information on Facebook.
Learn how to stay healthy during the Holy Month
