Catch a glimpse of Zac Efron (and maybe even meet him!)

Be still, our beating hearts… High School Musical star Zac Efron is in town, and he’ll be at the Dubai Mall this evening to launch the new Hugo Iced fragrance. Fans can go in the draw to meet the celeb by purchasing a bottle of Iced from the Paris Gallery store (that’s where he’ll be hanging out).

Hit up a beach party

World-renowned DJ and producer Robin Schulz (known for smash hits like Sugar and Prayer In C) is headlining tonight’s Nasimi Sessions, joined by Rudimental (Feel the Love, Lay It All On Me), and HUGEL (Coming Home). Be sure to bring your dancing shoes, it’s going to be an epic night.

Saturday 1

Enjoy a British garden party

Spring has finally arrived, and what better way to celebrate than by taking part in a traditional British garden party? Held at the amphitheatre at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi, this lovely-jubbly event promises traditional British food (fingers crossed for scones with jam and clotted cream), live entertainment and games, as well as activities for the wee ones like sand castle building contests.

Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai, Sat 12pm to 10pm. Free entry. Free parking available. More info on Facebook.

Indulge in a Saturday roast

Forget about the classic Sunday roast – in Dubai, it’s all about the Saturday roast. Fortnum & Mason in the Dubai Mall is now serving up Saturday roast dinners, and Dhs140 will get you a plate of roast, beef, chicken or lamb with all the trimmings (think Yorkshire puds, duck fat potatoes, gravy…) – just thinking about it is making us hungry.

Fortnum & Mason, The Dubai Mall (near the fountain), Sat, 9am to midnight (roast available for dinner), Dhs140. Tel: (04) 388 2627. More info on website.
