Just in time for the festive season!
Every year, right before the festive season kicks off, TV queen Oprah Winfrey releases her list of favourite things. What started off as a segment on her hit-series, The Oprah Winfrey Show has moved to O, The Oprah Magazine when she moved off air. The listicle has become a guide of what to get your loved ones, which includes this Saudi brand, according to the 2019 list.
Hope you are taking notes, cause Oprah has spoken and you now know what to include in your Christmas shopping list. “I’m pleased to report we survived to touch, try on, sniff, fall in love with, and narrow down a vast array of goodies until we were left with what I believe are the perfect presents of 2019,” Oprah said of her carefully curated edit on her magazine’s website.
The list is broken down into nine-categories, ranging from beauty gifts, to foodies finds, tech gadgets and more. Oprah’s 2019 favourites also includes products from Lady Gaga’s recently released makeup label, Haus Laboratories and Sarah Jessica Parker’s collaboration with Samsonite.
But, most notably, in the Foodie Finds section, the TV guru and her team has included Saudi dates brand, Bateel. According to her magazine edit, Bateel’s Olive Green Wood Small Gift Box with Gourmet Plain Dates is a perfect gift if your loved one is a foodie.

The Saudi brand, which launched in Riyadh almost 30-years-ago is already a household name in the region and UAE, where you can expect to find many Bateel stores and restaurants. However, the dates brand opened its first store in United States in 2017, and if it isn’t a hotspot already, it sure will be after getting Oprah’s seal of approval.
