IN PARTNERSHIP: On the lookout for a refined crustacean dining experience? Anantara The Palm Dubai’s latest pop-up – in partnership with Holidays by flydubai – is bringing the award-winning Sri Lankan restaurant, Ministry of Crab, to Dubai.

Launched by chef-restaurateur Darshan Munidasa, this culinary experience is centred around one main ingredient, with a fancy twist on the usual.

With a myriad of claw-crackling crab dishes and a popular familiarity around the restaurant, this pop-up brings a piece of Colombo to an undeniable luxe setting situated in the heart of Dubai. This five-day pop-up brings an air of excitement to the city.

Anantara - Ministry of Crab

From baked crab, crab liver pâte to the key Sri Lankan specialty pepper crab, this experience promises to dish out the signatures that the restaurant is best known for. With a menu beyond its star ingredient, dishes such as garlic chilli prawn and another fusion Sri Lankan dish will be presented for an added element of excitement.

No meal is complete without a classic dessert. For that sweet finish to the meal, the experts will prepare a coconut crème brülée which offers a refreshing take on the classic.

“I am delighted to bring this pop-up to Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort and share the rich Sri Lankan seafood and ingredients we have on offer at Ministry of Crap with the diners of Dubai,” Chef Dashan says of the pop-up.

As a pioneer in the industry, Chef Dashan created a niche in the Sri Lankan market and now globally, to showcase unique dishes to the world that are set apart from the rest. He promises to “share the rich Sri Lankan seafood and ingredients we have on offer at Ministry of Crab with the diners of Dubai”.
