It’s all about the food on our radar this weekend. Dubai is a never-ending source of new culinary flavours and adventures from every corner of the globe, each presented in a unique way and equally memorable setting. See what Team EW is planning to sample this weekend…
SAMPLING THE BEST OF FRENCH CUISINE
Although we hardly need any convincing about the deliciousness of French cuisine and produce, we’re overjoyed that the French food festival, Apéritif à la française, is launching its first consumer event in Dubai this Saturday (January 31). Although an already successful annual event held in 10 major world capitals, the Dubai edition has previously only been open to industry professionals. The event will be held at the Westin Mina Seyahi amphitheatre from midday and visitors can expect live cooking demonstrations, new brands and products as well as live music. So whether you are a connoisseur or even if Carrefour is the closest you’ve got to French food products, it’ll be well worth a visit. Entrance is free of charge. For more information, visit here.
TASTING PERU AT THE STORY LOVE BRUNCH
One of our favourite laid-back rooftop restaurant and lounges, Story, is hosting their fun and funky Love Brunch this Friday (January 30). Serving up mouth-watering traditional Peruvian street food will DJs Benni T, Danny Leese and Nader Razdar keep the hot tracks coming, this is a brunch designed for the party people. This late brunch runs from 6pm-9pm so it is a perfect way to start the evening. For more information, visit here.
Story Rooftop will also be hosting a Pop-Up shopping event on Saturday (January 31) that will feature several fashion and beauty brands to peruse while listening some great music and food. There will also be a few extra surprises and giveaways.
