It’s that time of the week again – you know the part where people switch off their computers for two days and three nights of peace and quiet. That is, unless, you’re anything like us.
We like our weekends to pack a punch and from overindulging on food to dancing into the small hours, this weekend’s shaping up nicely.
DECK IT…
We all love his wacky sayings – “I don’t got tactics, I got Tic-Tacs because I stay fresh” – but aside from making us laugh with eccentric quips, will.i.am also entertains us with his music. The Black Eyed Peas frontman will be taking stage at Dubai World Trade Centre for Dubai Music Week All Stars. September 26, Dubai World Trade Centre. For tickets visit here
DANCING SHOES…
Team EW loves nothing more than getting up on the dance floor letting out our inner Beyoncé, so The Dubai International Dance Festival is right up our street. The multi-arts event is set to showcase the talents of dance companies, youth orchestras and bands from around the world.
This weekend is full to the brim with all things movement based. Expect themed parties, international DJs and live performances. We can’t decide what to do first. The event runs from September 25 to 29. For more information and tickets visit here
GETTING FOODIE…
We’ll be finishing off our weekend at the Indian Street Food Festival at Claypot.
With chaat, tav bhaji and vada pav counters, as well as an a la carte menu with more than 15 popular street delicacies. Our stomachs are rumbling already. This is authentic Indian food that’s worth venturing a little further for. With large portions and low prices, it’s fast becoming one of our favourites.
The Indian Street Food Festival runs until October 12 at Claypot, Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai. For reservations call (050) 1007065 or visit here
