In the last month Olivia Palermo wed her long-term beau, Johannes Huebl, in a dress fit for a society darling and announced her fashion venture with Westward Leaning (a chic sunglasses collaboration), but the 28-year-old isn’t stopping there, with her next sartorial stint being a capsule collection for Italian shoe brand Aquazzura.

Olivia Palermo has always had a penchant for Aquazzura footwear, and is often seen wearing the feathered Madison style (Olivia is pictured wearing her favourite pair in the main image). She’s been friends with Edgardo Osorio, creative director of the Florence-based brand for years, and it seems that the pair are ready to put their style and influence together.

The six-piece collection is expected to launch later this year, and judging by the two sketches released by Aquazzura, we can expect the heels to be high and the design to be oh-so-feminine. But that’s not all, the stylish pair promise that there will be a shoe fit for every occasion, with gladiator sandals and suede boots among the collection.

“The Aquazzura aesthetic very much fits my own, so it made sense to collaborate with my good friend Edgardo,” said Olivia. “I think it is no secret that I love a good shoe, so I very much enjoyed creating a ‘survival pack’ for every occasion and women of all ages.” The collection is expected to range from US$600 to US$1625 (Dhs2,203 to Dhs5,969), which the famous socialite has explained is a “very reasonable” price point.

Aquazzaura’s Edgardo Osorio has spoken very fondly of Olivia since the announcement, calling her a longtime unofficial ambassador of the brand. “She’s always wearing the shoes,” he said. “We’re friends and we were talking more than a year ago about a small capsule that would be Olivia’s eye and aesthetic but with the Aquazzura style.”

The Aquazzura x Olivia Palermo collection is due to hit net-a-porter.com in September, but make sure you’ve got your fastest finger ready as we anticipate a sell-out.
