The Beauty And The Beast star looks like a real-life Disney princess in this custom (and eco-conscious) creation.

It’s hard to overshadow the Disney film’s iconic buttercup-hued ballgown… but Elie Saab might have just done it.

The Lebanese label has dressed actress Emma Watson for the ongoing Beauty and the Beast press tour, and this custom creation is the definition of a fairytale moment.

The Harry Potter alumni donned an encrusted tulle number for the movie’s premiere in Shanghai, complete with an ethereal cape and artfully tousled waves.

And it wasn’t your average off-the-rack gown from celebrity favourite Saab, who’s often referred to as the King of Couture – it was an upcycled creation.

The gem-embellished gown was made using leftover fabric from a previous Elie Saab haute couture collection, Watson revealed on her Instagram.

“The dress is made from 15 metres of tulle, embroidered with silk thread, sequins, beads and stones, five metres of illusion tulle and four metres of crepe georgette silk,” the actress wrote.

The brand also shared a behind-the-scenes video of the work that went into creating the suitably enchanting number, with tailors labouring over the fiddly sequin detailing.

Playing Belle in the film, which will screen in the UAE from March 17, was “really fun”, Watson revealed.

“That’s the wonderful thing about Belle, I feel like even in the original she was very progressive,” the actress told the Mail Online.

“She was kind of a departure from a lot of the other Disney princess characters… It was really just where in the moments I can fill in a bit more of her back story, I can pad her out a little bit more, it was really fun to be able to do that.”

We’ll leave you with Watson’s other top looks from the press tour…
