Fit for a queen
Ever wanted to peek inside the jewellery box of royalty? Now here’s your chance.
For the first time ever the French high jewellery maison Van Cleef & Arpels will bring to Dubai a heritage exhibition of regal pieces that are so dazzling, you might need sunglasses to view them.
Treasures and Legends exhibit will take from 10 to 31 October at their newly opened boutique in Dubai Opera Plaza. On display will be 50 high jewellery treasures and precious objects that once adorned the likes of Queen Nazli of Egypt and Princess Faiza of Egypt.
“Each chapter of Treasures and Legends explores the glamorous and exotic patrons’ heirlooms, all of which are connected with a golden thread and their love of the beautiful art of Van Cleef & Arpels,” explains Vincent Meylan, author of Van Cleef & Arpels Treasures and Legends.
From Queen Nazli of Egypt you have the dazzling Art Deco Collaret Necklace in diamonds that dates to 1939, as well as Pivione clip with rubies and diamonds from 1937. Princess Faiza of Egypt you have the teardrop emerald Collaret, also from 1939.
