The quirky singer spills on her style, skincare secrets and guilty pleasures.

Home is… South London; it’s a very creative and eclectic place.

My guilty pleasure is… commercial dance music. I love old Madonna songs: Over And Over is amazing, but also anything by Calvin Harris, Eric Prydz and Dizzee Rascal. I love the track Bonkers, it’s good for dancing around my bedroom.

My hero is… Grace Slick, the ex-lead singer of Jefferson Airplane. She had such an amazing voice. Her song White Rabbit changed my life.

I relax by… Watching a movie in the bath; that’s my favourite thing.

On stage… nobody can ask me to do anything. Even on the way to the stage, there’s still someone who wants an interview, or people taking my picture. Sometimes it’s like: ‘Get me onto the stage.’ It’s like freedom.

I spend my days off… visiting galleries and seeing new shows.

My style… for the stage, it’s the Lady of Shalott meets Ophelia mixed with scary gothic, bat lady. But in real life I’m kind of prim.

My skincare essentials are… sunscreen first. I’m very fair so I have to protect my skin from the sun. I use Kiehl’s Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+; it sounds extreme but it’s great and super light. Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief is useful to keep my skin hydrated when I’m travelling.

In my beauty bag is… YSL’s Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in #14 Rouge Feu; it stays on until the end of the show. I was even given one with my name engraved on it. I also use Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Gondola; it’s a beautiful wintery shade.

My favourite fragrance is… Chloé’s Love Eau de Parfum. It’s my staple, floaty and feminine. And also Flora by Gucci, I take this on tour, it’s so fresh.
