The movement ban in Abu Dhabi has been extended for another week up until June 23.
As of Tuesday, June 16, movement in and out of the UAE’s capital will be suspended for another seven days, per an announcement from the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee, the Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health.
This is the second extension of the movement ban, which was originally put into place on June 2.

The restrictions apply to all residents as well as UAE nationals, with people being allowed to move between the region they live during the allotted curfew timings, 10pm to 6am.
The movement ban was implemented in order for the national screening programme to take place in order to curb the spread of COVID-19. Under the programme, more than 388,000 people have been tested.
At present there have been over 42,636 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the UAE – 28,129 of those cases have recovered and there have been 291 deaths.
