Located on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, At.Mosphere is the highest dining room in the world. It’s impossible not to be wooed at such a height. As the music twinkles and champagne poured, this in-the-clouds experience wins the most romantic restaurant (Valentine’s Day or not) hands down.
Food
Containing the best ingredients from around the world, the menu is French-focused and utterly fabulous. Each dish on the special Valentine’s Day menu is paired with a wine that makes this a gastronomes heaven. The special menu offers six courses (with a Campari infused sorbet mid-meal to cleanse the palette) with highlights being the pan seared foie gras with apple-passion puree with a sauternes wine reduction. The Brittany lobster with vanilla potato and braised onion is exceptional as is the melt-in-your-mouth beef wellington. Special mention has to go to the two desserts, which are actually very easy to eat after four courses – trust us!
Why Bother
It’s the most prestigious fine dining restaurant in the country. If you need more reasons, the food is undeniably the best in town, the sommelier can talk you through the wine list in such detail you can taste his words in every sip and, last but certainly not least, you can’t get a better birds eye view in the world.
