After receiving the heaviest rainfall since 1949 in 75 years, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) comes baring news of potential showers next week.
According to the NCM, from Friday, April 19 to Sunday, April 20, the weather in the morning across the UAE will be humid with the possibility of fog and mist formation with partly clouded skies.
However, in the new week, on Monday, April 22 there is a probability of light rainfall which will turn to moderate and even heavy rainfall on Tuesday, April 23.

This post shared details on how there is a possibility of cumulus clouds forming on the mountains on Saturday, April 20 which will be accompanied by rainfall. Rainfall is also expected on Monday, April 22 with a chance of light to moderate rain which may be heavy at times in some areas on Tuesday, April 23.
Record Breaking Rainfall
With thunder, lightning and heavy downpour in full-swing, health and safety hazards have been issued to stay safe.
Since 1949, the UAE has seen the largest amount of rainfall in the past 75 years making it an exceptional event in the UAE’s climate history since the start of recording climate data.
Per Emirates News Agency,The National Centre of Meteorology confirmed that the record rainfall that fell on the country during the past 24 hours until 9 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, is an exceptional event in the UAE’s climate history since the start of recording climate data, and it is expected that the coming hours will witness the recording of larger amounts of rainfall.
Overall, Dubai has extended the remote working period for government employees as well as private school students amid escalating unstable weather conditions in the country.
