There are certain ingredients you need for a stellar fashion campaign. First, the cast, which should ideally consist of global supermodels. Then you need a mesmerising setting, and finally, you have to have the right team on board to capture the magic.
Lebanese-American designer, Eli Mizrahi, has managed to do this and more for his first-ever Mônot campaign. Looking at the images, we guess the ‘go big or go home’ mentality played a role.
Al Ula, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO heritage site, acts as a stunning backdrop for supermodels Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Candice Swanepoel, Mariacarla Boscono, Amber Valletta, Xiao Wen Ju and Alek Wek to do what they do best.

Shot before lockdown by photography duo Luigi & Iango and overseen by Carine Roitfeld, the starry cast are seen posing in the Fall 2020/2021 pieces against the dramatic landscape as well as Maraya – aka the largest mirrored building in the world. How is that for a statement?
In an emotional Instagram post, Mizrahi thanked everyone who turned his dream into a reality, writing:
“Kate Moss, you showed me just what a (star) you are. You trusted me and jumped blindly into this project. You gave it your heart and soul and you were the keystone to making this campaign a success.”
He went on to pay tribute to the rest of the models for flying in from all corners of the world and also added that they “embody the inclusive cross-cultural swath of empowered women that Mônot wants to dress.”

The designer also saw this as an opportunity to highlight how it is important to show yourself some self-love and self-gratitude when you succeed, writing:
“What I was able to achieve with my first campaign, as the founder of an emerging independent brand, is pretty fanfreakingtastic. And above all, I want to thank myself for not giving up on my dreams. It’s moments like these, when everyone thinks I’m crazy, that I push even harder.
