Fashion girls gotta eat.
Ralph Lauren transformed the iconic flagship store into a chic brasseries to present the Spring 2019 collection.
One of the most iconic designers of American fashion expanded his hidden café to take over the whole floor of the boutique, where show goers could enjoy some breakfast while model after model glided past in the latest pieces.
“I decided to share it in the charming environment of my new Ralph’s Café on Madison Avenue. I wanted to create an intimate experience to share my vision in a more personal way,” said Ralph Lauren.
Here is what you might have missed.
Classic Meets Modern
Sticking to the colour palette of black, white and gold, he offered a perfect balance of classic and contemporary pieces. Note the exaggerated, wide-leg trousers, sailor-inspired fitted blazers, and slick eveningwear that were contrasted with a gold trim duffel coat and MC Hammer-type gold pants.
Add To Shopping Bag
Unlike the majority of designers who are showing their Fall 2019 collections, Ralph Lauren is sticking to his business model of presenting pieces that are available immediately – so you can snap up the floor-sweeping blazer now on Ralphlauren.com, in global flagship stores and through top retail partners.
Everything the designer does is with perfection, and this includes the set. From green leather banquettes and golden statues, to branded plates and even Ralph’s sugar packets and Ralph’s butter. Lucky for those residing in New York city, the café will remain open to encourage a relaxed atmosphere while browsing the collection. Plus, it’s great for Instagram.
The Model Cast
The show was littered with supermodels including Bella Hadid, Taylor Hill, Joan Smalls and Candice Swanepoel.
Accessorise To The Max
Safe to say we are all going to be buying sculptural gold earrings, but we have also spotted the new RL50 handbag featuring equestrian-inspired details.
