Hear us roar
Fragrance fans, we have some exciting news coming to you all the way from France. Luxury house Chanel has a brand new perfume and we in the Middle East are getting first dibs.
The Maison is bringing Le Lion de CHANEL to the region a whopping seven months ahead of the rest of the world. Now that’s what we call an exclusive.
Part of the Les Exclusifs range, the new scent will only be available worldwide from January 2021, giving us plenty of time to show off this brand new addition to our fragrance collection.
Superstitious and fascinated by the stars, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel quickly considered the Lion associated with her birth date as a source of luck.
Perfumer-creator for the House of Chanel, Olivier Polge, did not devote his new creation to the animal, but the vision that the Maison cultivates of it. “I was much more interested in the emblematic Chanel lion than the animal,” he said.
He focused on an oriental scent. Taming the codes of this olfactory family, he imagined a trail with a refined intensity, contained by a soft and warm signature.
It opens with a few sparkling citrus notes — lemon, bergamot — that lead the way to warmth of its oriental imprint. At the heart of cistus labdanum, a lively resin with animal notes, is a tamed custom-crafted essence. Expect infusion of vanilla from Madagascar, creamy sandalwood, musk, and rawness of patchouli.
An elegant fragrance that should take a prime spot on your bathroom shelf.
