Michael Cinco, Dubai based designer, took to Instagram to show his latest creation featuring seven people transporting a wedding dress for the final fitting.
“It takes a village just to transport a three-metre couture wedding gown from the studio to the client’s final fitting.” the post caption stated.
Created for an Abu Dhabi based bride, the Swarovski crystallized gown features a three-metre train of intricate petal layers, and took 1,000 hours to finish, and was handmade by 15 skilled artisans where 200,000 Swarovski crystals were used.
Cinco explained that the design came from the bride, who showed him a picture of a Dior couture gown from the ’50s that she really liked.
“The bride specifically asked me to create her dream wedding — a 50’s inspired Dior gown…So I made her dream wedding gown with a couture M5 touch on it,” Cinco wrote on his Instagram account.
According to The National, The dress was created for a wedding that took place in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, January 16.
