Finding a luxury staycation that doesn’t send your bank balance into a state of shock can sometimes be tricky here in Dubai.
However one iconic hotel is putting on a seasonal offer that makes a five-star stay truly purse-friendly.
Until the end of next month, The Meydan Hotel is giving guests Dhs250 back when they book a room, with rates starting from Dhs449 per night.
So yes, that means you could get more than 50 per cent of a room’s cost back as soon as you’ve checked in – and Dhs199 for a luxury hotel stay is cheaper than your average brunch around the city.
The best news? It’s not a one-time offer – you get a Dhs250 voucher per room every night you stay, so if you were to stay for a week, you’d get a whopping Dhs1,750 back in food, drinks or pampering time.
The voucher can be used at a range of venues across the hotel, from restaurants and bars – including steakhouse Prime, Chinese-Japanese eatery Shiba, and all-day destination Farriers – to on-site cafes and the spa.
You can also redeem your voucher at the Millennium Lounge, Qube Sports Bar, Shiba Bar and the relaxing Equus Pool Bar.
Using the deal, a relaxing hot-stone massage at the Meydan Hotel treatment room, which is typically Dhs395 for 60 minutes, would ring in at just Dhs145, making it surely one of the cheapest full-hour treatments in the city.
So need to spoil a bride-to-be over the summer, or just hunting for a night away with the girls? This won’t break the bank, nor will it dial back on the luxury.
You’ll be hard pressed to peel yourself away from the balcony as The Meydan, which is made up of 284 rooms and suites, offers sweeping views of the hotel’s lush racetrack (which is home to Dubai’s annual World Cup).
Aside from the Dhs250 voucher, guests can treat themselves to a dip in the azure infinity pool any time of the year, or hire a bike and take a leisurely loop around the hotel’s cycle track.
Hotels guests also get free wifi, access to the Compact TechnoGym, tennis courts and flood-lit golf course, plus there’s a children’s pool for families.
The Summer to Discover offer is available on stays taken until September 30 2017, and rates exclude 10 per cent municipality fees, 10 per cent service charge and a Dhs20 tourism fee per room per night.
