Mercedes-Benz has unveiled an e-commerce platform of its passenger cars for customers in the UAE.

Gargash Enterprises, the authorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, has said that it’s the luxury auto manufacturer’s first-ever passenger car e-commerce platform in the Middle East.

The fully integrated e-commerce platform, will facilitate the entire gamut of operations from browsing information about a vehicle right through purchasing it.

It will display real-time information about vehicle stock availability, specifications and retail prices, and has features including an online reservation and payment options.

Interested buyers also have the option to book a test-drive from wherever they are based, and also arrange for the purchased vehicle to be delivered right to their doorstep.

On the portal, customers have the option to download detailed brochures available for each vehicle, which has detailed information about car specifications.

A ‘configurator’ tab allows clients to customise their vehicles – allowing them to select their preferred engine configuration, exterior design elements, colours, wheel dimensions, interior specifications, upholstery, interior trims and additional interior packages as well as supporting external equipment and accessories.

A ‘contact us’ tab allows customers to get in touch with a customer service representative who further assist them with queries and purchase.

Last year, another major auto manufacturer Volkswagen Middle East, too set up an e-commerce platform in association with its dealer partners in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, to allow customers to purchase vehicles entirely online.
