Marni has come to the aid of underprivileged children across the globe with a special edition collection of T-shirts from its Children’s Imaginary World project.
In a yearly effort to celebrate childhood and nurture youthful creative freedom, Marni, a label that is not shy of crazy prints and vibrant colour palettes, has collaborated on the special project – Children’s Imaginary World and created a range of T-shirts co-designed by children from around the world.
Creative Director, Consuelo Castiglioni encouraged youngsters, of all ages from underprivileged communities in Colombia, Italy, Africa and Japan to illustrate a unique design to fit the theme ‘My Own World’. In keeping with the Marni’s minimal aesthetic, the colour-popping drawings of stickmen, ladybirds and houses are printed on plain white and grey short and long sleeve T-shirts. The fun designs have also been made into brooches.
Along with nurturing children’s artistic vision the annual project helps to raise money for schools and associations with a wish to encourage learning, explore creativity and raise hopes for a wonderful future.
