Iranian designer Dr Maral Yazarloo went to India in 2004 to finish her MBA. She fell in love with the country and decided to stay. She officially launched her brand, ‘MAYA – made of dreams’ in Paris, followed by Rome, and it is now based in India.
Maral has four distinct lines: fusion wear, office wear, resort wear and – just what every style savvy biker needs – fashion biking wear. Maya’s aesthetic is a finely balanced blend of Persian, Indian and western. Glorious brocades and embroidery nestle among leather, lace and silks. Maya’s silhouettes are generally traditional but always manage to surprise.
