Buying luxury candles can literally feel like burning money, but there’s something exceptionally decadent about seeing beautiful designed candle in your home.
We have done our research and also had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in Diptyque’s world when we visited it’s factory in France to see exactly how much effort goes into producing these premium scents – it’s a lot.

Brands like Louis Vuitton, Byredo, Jo Malone, Le Labo, Fornasetti, Cire Trudon and Buly 1803 use the highest quality and the rarest ingredients to design these unique fragrances. They also consider the formula of the wax to find the precise combination to make the candles burn evenly and last up to, if not more, than 60 hours.
They also consider the quality and length of the candle wick. The longer it is the longer then candle will burn. However, it’s important to trim it to avoid black smoke so once you blow it out, cut a little bit from the top to make it a similar length to how it was when you first opened it.

Don’t be afraid to give them a long burn at the beginning. If you allow it to stand for two hours, the top layer of wax will fully melt, ensuring even burning when next lighting it.

Luxury candles can feel precious but you shouldn’t shy away from using them, after all many of them come in beautiful glass packaging which you can easily reuse for decorative purposes.
