Lubov Azria

As the CEO of one of the world’s largest fashion conglomerates, BCBGMAXAZRIA, and a mum to five daughters, no one knows more about balancing the work/life conundrum than Lubov Azria. Married to Max Azria, the man behind his eponymous label and the Hervé Léger brand, Ukrainian-born Lubov, a former ballerina, splits her time between running their global empire and raising her children at their beautiful estate in Los Angeles. Curious to know just how she does it, Emirates Woman asked the super mum to reveal her tips to getting to the top of the business ladder…

Lubov’s mantras to making it work:

.)  Work smarter, not harder!

.)  Never stop growing.

.)  Keep your body hydrated and constantly fuel yourself with foods that work for you, not against you.

.)  Try to make the world a better place. I feel incredibly fortunate to lead the life I live and try to give back as much as possible.

.)  Stay true to yourself and take time for you. Only when you start taking care of yourself can you take care of others.

.)  Balance is key. I am so passionate and love what I do professionally, but the key to maintaining the balance in your life is to be inspired every single day. Every morning when I wake up, I am always thinking of how I can make today better than yesterday. I constantly want to grow, learn, and be inspired. Take time for yourself and do what you love.

.)  Balance is key to a career woman and mother like myself.  I’m constantly working and on the go, so every chance I get, I want to spend time with my family.

.)  Adopt a routine that keeps your body healthy and happy.  For me, that’s vegan food, a good nutritionist, Fiji Water, and a workout.

.)  Indulge in the time you have with your family. I bathe in every delicious moment I have with my husband, and I soak in every moment I am working.

.)  Love the life you live, and live the life you love, each and every day.

.)  Speak your mind and stand up for yourself.  The inner strength of a woman is her truest beauty.

.)  Oh, and a little trip to the spa for some ‘me’ time never hurt anyone…
