Pharell Williams has added yet another role to his CV.

Following the footsteps of Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton has placed a big bet on Pharrell Williams, award-winning producer, and songwriter, to take the helm as its new menswear artistic director. A visionary and a global cultural icon known to break boundaries with the different worlds he explores, Pharrell Williams shares the french luxury brand’s values of innovation and pioneering spirit.

Abloh’s exceptional creativity and disruptive vision have brought forth some widely lauded collections that have made a lasting imprint on the house of Louis Vuitton. A tough act to follow, this new announcement has received hype and anticipation for Williams’ future contributions.

A multi-hyphenated talent, Williams’ has all the makings to take the lead and proves to be a strong fit for the coveted position. His strong ties to the music and hip-hop culture along with fashion credentials ranging from founding streetwear brands Human Race and Billionaire Boys Club to impressive collaborations with Adidas Moncler, Tiffany & Co., Chanel – and of course, Louis Vuitton (2000, 2004 and 2008) showcases this unique sensibility.

Pharrell Williams’ first collection will be unveiled in June this year at Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
