Co-founded by Maryam Hassani and Dr. Harshad Mehta in 2015, the Dubai-based jewellery studio focuses on custom-made pieces, which are all crafted in the UAE.
The name of the boutique was inspired by the longitude of Dubai, as well as the fact that a perfectly cut diamond has 57 facets. “I felt the need to have a design studio for jewellery where clients could come and have a design experience that no other retail store would offer,” Maryam told us in a past interview. “At 55Fifty7 our main offering is customised, personalised luxury diamond jewellery. Our customers are taken on a design journey and we involve them in the entire process of bringing their piece to life.”

Since 2015 the business has grown dramatically with clients ranging from expats to royalty. Now based in the Dubai Design District, 55fifty7 goes one step further and offers jewellery classes to young children. They also run an incubator concept that supports young designers.
