London Edition, London Fashion Week Editors Diary
My home during London Fashion Week, the celebrity hub that is The London Edition. Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevingne were just couple of the big name stars staying there. One big fashion wig also hired out the penthouse.

The best thing about the beds in the five-star boutique – the luxurious throw. Just look up #londonedition on Instagram and you will see that it’s the hotel’s biggest star, along with it’s famous avocado on toast breakfast.

Every wondered what the style elite drink? Well at The London Edition it was slushie cocktails in branded BoF500 cups, of course.

After a long flight, I called in an early night in order to be fresh for the following day, which would include interviews, shows and more partying.
A midnight feast courtesy of the London Edition mini bar. I was all about the Propercorn – it is an official sponsor for LFW, after all.

London’s Golden Square was home to screenings, pop-ups, exclusive offers and special events. The LFW Outdoor Cinema allowed the public, who didn’t have access to the shows, to get a taste of the FROW. The screen livestreamed LFW catwalks, fashion films and digital presentations from Hunter, McQ Alexander McQueen, SHOWstudio and Zoe Jordan.

One of the many pop-ups saw Swatch launch its collection Street Energy collection with an interactive Mood-O-Meter, reading your mood of the day. My mood was ‘in love and happy with fashion’. #SwatchMoodBoard

Eddie Harrop, available on net-a-porter.com became our new crush – both the designer and the brand. We chatted to Eddie who told us about her exciting career splitting her time between London and Saigon, where her bags are made. The leathers come from Pakistan and the artwork is all handcrafted. The trilby range was made exclusively for fashion week.

One thing is for sure; headpieces are back in a big way. It was all about these haute millinery pieces. There was actually queues of people desperate to try on the bespoke pieces.

Loved this wonderfully weird creation. After all women can never have too many shoes.

On the closing night there were simply too many parties to choose from. We opted for an evening at NYLON, a new concept bar at London’s O2 arena. The bar is a new venture by Virgin Atlantic and Delta and the theme is genius – it’s like stepping into a decadent first class lounge, only better!

Determined to achieve my goal to get a Victoria’s Secret body (I know, a girl can only wish) I donned my gym gear for a private session with the world famous (it’s one of the most popular fitness trends among celebs and models) with Russ Bateman from The Skinny B*tch Collective. What better way to end LFW. Stay tuned for the review. #EWGetsFit

And it’s back to Dubai. I flew Premium Economy with Virgin Atlantic and totally recommend it. Extra leg room? Check. Complimentary welcome fizz? Check. Comfortable leather chairs? Check. Gourmet food? Absolutely check. As a non dairy and egg eater plane food can be suspect but this salad and vegan ragù main was simply delicious.

Until next time London.
The weather may not have been kind to us – thank you downpours of rain – yet fortunately, the incessant celeb spotting more than made up for the dreariness. It started in a car park and ended with a concert at a new concept bar – London Fashion Week SS16 was as wonderfully unpredictable as we hoped…
From rubbing shoulders with the industry’s top influencers at the Business of Fashion 500 party (#BoF500) – think Tommy Hilfiger, Natalie Massenet, Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe, Christopher Kane and Henry Holland – to meeting new designers at the showrooms, eating Propercorn, drinking endless cups of Lavazza coffee (both were official sponsors for LFW) and partying the night away with style elite, London Fashion Week was adventurous, eye opening and exhilarating.
