With a virtual front-row concept for fashion shows being the norm for the past year, well-known celebrities from around the world tuned in for Burberry’s AW 21 presentation this week wearing edited looks from the new collection.

The guest list ranged from the likes of supermodels Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner to the performance artist Marina Abramović and many more, with British rapper Shygirl kickstarting the show.

The vast star-cast collection joined the digital presentation, with the supermodel Gigi Hadid styled as a pink fluffy Burberry bunny as she added a softer nod to the brand’s AW 21 theme.

Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell was adorned in well-structured tailored black cigarette pants accompanied with the classic Burberry trench and Kendall Jenner and Irina Shayk presented themselves in luxe black Burberry leather as they captured Tisci’s vision through their own flair.

There were many other celebrities who joined in front-row (virtually) including Jessica Chastain, Madonna, Lila Moss, Katy England, Diana Silvers and more.

With bold, confident silhouettes and accessories presented, Riccardo Tisci’s presentation was an ode to femininity as the collection was emblematic of women empowerment through flawlessly designed pieces.

Tisci, Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer said, “I wanted this collection to feel truly emblematic of the power of feminine energy: a modern armour that captures its characteristic fierce aura.

“There’s an underlying attitude to the collection that’s very British; of being unique, eccentric and totally authentic in how you express yourself.”

While emulating encouraging freedom of expression through the show, the theme focused on a love letter to women and a celebration of their strength as it was showcased in the Maison’s 121 Regent store with an eclectic spirit displayed through each look, such as the stretch-tulle sculptural heels and the gleaming gold lamé pieces.
